There is a face in flesh,
sometimes smooth,
it smiles with gritted teeth
of bone,
and all muscles and cords
that thin face affords
movement in impossible directions.
It is a face drawn
to be there long,
and it marks your fair skin,
to stare back at me
and remind all you are free
to do what you will
to yourself.
