"First, we're going to check you out all over to make sure everything is working properly. Then, you're going to meet Doctor Edwards. She's very nice, and I know she's looking forward to seeing you."
Damon's mother fidgeted in her little seat in the corner. She cleared her throat nervously, but held her tongue, when her son asked, "Why?"
The nurse responded brightly, "Because your mommy wants her to meet you, so you two can talk for a while."
"What will we talk about?"
"Oh, I don't know for sure, but I bet she'll talk about you. She'll probably ask questions all about you."
