Ipani blushed, but did not pause his hurried signing. "I have tried not to let the abuse corrupt me. I have endeavored to be strong."
"This shows. Do not worry, my friend. All will go well enough. Are you finished? All are signed? Good, then let us make our way to the Treasury to solidify your rule. From there, I would have you wander down to market and watch over the boy discretely. Make certain he is not cheated and that he does not cheat."
"Never let the hound watch the henhouse alone, eh? Who will be watching over me, I wonder?"
