"You might say the same thing for us all. Sleep well, my general. Tomorrow we must walk far and fast."

Each bade the other fond dreams, and soon the dilapidated walls filled with the echoes of snores and night breathing. Overhead, the true Eyestone of Bebblegeth floated sparkling in the darkness, watching over them in their slumberous voyages.

The next morning dawned clear and cool. As the sun rose into full view above the Earthbones, and its streaming rays shot out to light the west, Epsilon stood waist deep in coarse grasses and thought how vast and foreboding the world must be. It seemed to go on and on and on. There appeared no end to it. And these mountains, these Earthbones, stood as nothing when compared to the greater whole, while much less so was he, but a gnat on the arse of an olifant.

Ubar approached stealthily from behind, though the whispering grasses clearly betrayed his movements. "Where are your thoughts, Master of War?" hissed he suddenly, adding a snigger to see Epsilon feign a startled jump.

"I was merely pondering gnats and olifants' arses, young Ubar. Are we all ready to begin our long march?"
